What does it cost to play?
We do not have memberships at The Pickle Bar. We are a restaurant and bar with pickleball courts that is open to everyone! Courts are reserved online, through our app (Apple or Android), over the phone at 843-900-3080 or by walking in on a first come, first served basis.
COURT TIME
Court time is charged per court, per hour whether you have 4, 6 or 8 players (we don't recommend more than 8 players per court)

How does it work?
Ready to play? Here's what you need to get started.
Book a Court
You can reserve court online, through our app (download here: Apple or Android) or by calling us at 843-900-3080. Court time is available in one-hour increments and can be booked 1 week in advance. You will pay for your court time during the booking process. Courts are charged per court, per hour.
Sign a Waiver
All pickleball players (including minors) are required to sign a waiver before taking the courts.
Wear the Right Shoes
All pickleball players are required to wear non-marking athletic shoes on the court. Sandles, boots or open-toed shoes are NOT permitted.
Use the Right Equipment
Bring your own paddles and balls OR rent them from us! You can add the rental during your reservation or when you show up.
Have Fun
Show respect to your opponents and play with good sportsmanship. Excessive profanity, alcohol or misconduct may result in removal from the premises.
What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Customers will receive a FULL refund if a reservation is cancelled more than 24 hours in advance of the reservation start time. No refund will be issued if a reservation is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance of the reservation start time.
If there is a rainout, customers will get a full refund issued to club credit.
Do you offer lessons?
Yes! We have two pros on staff (bios are below) that teach private lessons and run clinics, round robins and tournaments. To book a private lesson, call us at 843-900-3080. Private lessons cannot be booked online.
Jake Kusmider - Head Pickleball Pro
Jake started playing tennis at 4 years old and played through juniors up to the college level. He played on the men’s tennis team at College of Charleston during the 2016-2017 season and then started teaching tennis full time at the Jack Adams Tennis Center in the fall of 2017. His pickleball career started in 2019 when he entered his first doubles tournament in Camden. Subsequently he started pro singles in 2020 at the APP Hilton Head Open placing 4th. His first top 10 singles win was in Tampa at the 2021 PPA Grand Slam. He achieved a career high ranking of 19 after a top 8 showing at the 2021 APP Delray Beach Open. Jake finished that year ranked 10th for points accumulated on the year. Other highlights include a pro medal at the APP World Pickleball open followed by another pro medal at the APP Delray Beach Open.
Keith Ferger - Manager & Pickleball Pro
From the age of 5, Keith grew up playing multiple sports including soccer, baseball, basketball, football, and golf. After high school, he quickly picked up the coaching aspect of sports while still playing competitively himself. Keith has 20+ years of training youth and college athletes in multiple sports. In 2014, he picked up pickleball and was instantly hooked. Keith entered his first tournament in 2014 winning silver in the 4.5 division and has since racked up many medal stand appearances in the open/pro division. Keith quickly moved into teaching and found just as much joy in helping others as playing himself. For Keith, seeing students that he has coached be successful and enjoy playing the game is what it's all about! Keith completed his IPTPA Certification in 2020 and has been a full-time coach for the past 4 years. Prior to The Pickle Bar, Keith started the pickleball program at the Roy Barth Tennis Center at Kiawah Island and was the head pro there until 2023. Keith is now a Manager with The Pickle Bar helping on the restaurant and bar side of the business as well as with the pickleball programming where we look to create the best pickleball program in South Carolina.
What are your court rules?
We have several rules that will ensure a safe and fun pickleball experience for everyone.
- Courts must be reserved online, through our app (download here: Apple or Android) or by calling us at 843-900-3080. Please check in before playing. If your time is up and you wish to stay longer, check with the front desk to extend your court time.
- No food or drinks allowed on the court except water.
- No bags on the court. Please leave outside the fence.
- Open-toe shoes are strictly prohibited and you must wear non-marking shoes only.
- No pets on the court.
- Show respect to your opponents and play with good sportsmanship.
- Excessive profanity, alcohol or misconduct may result in removal from the premises.
